Yeah, that’s the best I could come up with. Brad Nicholson at Destructoid reports that a game-ending bug in the Xbox 360 port of Risen has reared its ugly head in the third chapter of the game. What’s even worse is that this bug had been reported back in 2009 when the game was out for PC. You’d think the developers would try and fix something like that… right? From the article:

In the third chapter in the game, your no-longer-shoeless adventurer will have to face the dangers of the Volcano Keep in order to do the whole “save the world” thing. In the process, though, you may hit a glitch so bad that you’ll have to restart the game. Take our advice: when prompted by the voodoo man, it’s best to go right instead of left first. Going left first means two quest items (busts) won’t spawn and thus you can’t complete the next two chapters.
