Here’s a glitch in a game that I didn’t even know existed!
GlitchBlog member emerio uploaded a glitch video to the iNsANeFR (clan Fatal Resistance) YouTube account, showing how to get out of the “Drydock” in The Punisher: No Mercy. Watch below:
Well, this is a weird one. xN1GhTMaR3 on the xDE4DxSiLEnCEx YouTube account uploaded a video showing a strange glitch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, showing a care package that does a bit more than just caring. And by that I mean, killing people. Check it out:
Spikeee1337 has performed a sweet new trick in Just Cause 2, featuring shenanigans outside of a massive dome. Check out the video below:
This video from findlestick seemed like a pretty good fit for Easter, what with things you believe could have the potential to be real end up being not real and somewhat disappointing.
I’m going to go back to gaining new cavities (as you also should), but you might as well check out this God of War III glitch video while you’re at it.
AKheon is back with even more God of War III glitching goodness, and there are some serious WTF moments in this video. It would be an injustice trying to explain all of it; just watch and enjoy!
In a recent interview conducted by ComputerAndVideoGames.com (or CVG), Infinity Ward community director Robert Bowling had some interesting things to say about the supposedly inconsequential nature of glitches used to cheat in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Basically, Bowling claims that the use of glitches like the “care package glitch” does little damage at all, and that there has been no drop-off of players as a result of these glitches’ presence. I haven’t been playing the game myself, but from everything I’ve ever the use of this and the “javelin glitch” really have had a negative effect on multiplayer.
Be sure to check out CVG for the full story!
Over at High Impact Halo, Ducain wrote up a post about an excellent Halo: Combat Evolved glitch video created by BigGruntyThirst. In the video, BGT gets two copies of Sargent Johnson all the way to the end of “Attack on the Control Room” — very impressive stuff. Check it out below:
Chris Kohler at Wired’s Game|Life blog wrote up a great piece about the greatest tricks that games have ever played on unsuspecting players like ourselves. OK, so it’s only tangentially related to glitching, but I thought you guys might want to take a look anyway. From the article:
Videogames have a unique ability to suck us in: We quickly suspend disbelief and immerse ourselves in the worlds that game designers create for us. One of the first things we do is test the rules of the game to find out what results from our actions. Armed with this knowledge, we set out to master the game’s world.
But some game designers play with our expectations. Sometimes they deliberately trick us by sending fake-out signals. Sometimes they play on our assumptions about videogames, then show us that their game doesn’t work the same as the rest. Either way, we feel tricked — but to be surprised is to be entertained.
The new Stimulus Pack maps just came out for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, so naturally the glitches are starting to roll in. I wasn’t super impressed by any of these, but I figure they’re mentioning for those who are just getting into the new maps now.
Here’s a collection of four new discoveries, three of which you’ll find after the jump.
